It's Fall

This week, we have been focused on a new unit about the season of Fall.  We have read many fun fall stories, discussed the characteristics of fall, went on leaf hunts and fall walks and have worked on many fall projects.  The students are eagerly awaiting the color changes in the trees outside of our classroom.  Below are some of the different projects we have been working on this week.

All About Me!

This past couple of weeks in our classroom we have been working on a unit entitled: All About Me.  Discussions have ranged from families,  favorites, feelings to appearances.  The students have worked really hard on many different learning projects.  We have encountered many new vocabulary words along the way including unique, different and excited.  We talked about how each of us is different and self-acceptance.  Please enjoy the following pictures that depict some of our hard work over the last couple of weeks.

This is one of our projects from the last week.  After a lesson on feelings, each child studied four pictures of different emotions and depicted to us how they thought the person was feeling.

The school year is off to a great start!

We are off to a great start in preschool.  The students are having a wonderful time making new friends and learning many new things.
