Movie and PJ Day

Tomorrow (Thursday, December 19th) is Movie and PJ day in preschool.  We look forward to a fun day in preschool.

Parent/Teacher Conference Week

This week is parent/teacher conference week.  Monday is a regular school day.  Tuesday is an early out- there will be No PM class.  Wednesday is a late start - PM class only.  Thursday is an early out - No PM class.  Friday there is NO school. 

Halloween Party

Thursday is our Halloween Party!  Don't forget to wear your costume.

Fun in Preschool

We have been busy having fun in preschool.  We have been reading books, painting, doing pumpkin nailing and much more.

Thursday - Students dress as teachers& teachers dress as students - it is also picture day at Washington Elementary

Homemade Goo

Our discovery center got a new addition this week, homemade goo/gak.  The students are having a blast exploring what they can do with the goo.  It forms into a solid in their hand as they make a fist but when they open their hand it releases into a liquid and pours back into the container. 

Our Trip to the Park

Therese kept us very busy and having a wonderful time at the park.  We learned many interesting facts about trees.  We enjoyed our time outside in nature and we were very glad that the rain held off.  Please enjoy the pictures from our trip. 

PM trip postponed

It has been decided to postpone our PM field trip to the park.  We will go on Monday, April 15th. 

A note from Therese at Jefferson County Park

Ms. Therese said the ticks are out and wanted to remind all parents to check their children after their field trip as a precaution. 

Field Trip to Jefferson County Park

On Tuesday, April 9th the AM class will be taking a field trip to Jefferson County Park.  On Wednesday, April 10th the PM class will going to Jefferson County Park.  We will be going rain or shine so please dress your child appropriately.

Spring Break

Reminder:  Spring Break is next week - March 25-29.  School will resume on Monday, April 1st.

Snow Fun

On Friday, we brought the snow inside to enjoy.  The students had a great time!  Enjoy the wonderful pictures of the students exploring what they could do with the snow. 

Fundraiser Basket

If you are interested in donating to our class fundraiser basket, please turn in items by Thursday, February 28th.  Our theme for our basket is Family Fun Night.  Our basket will be for silent auction during Washington Family Fun Night on March 15th.  More information about family fun night will come home with your child at a later date. 

No School on Friday, February 15th

Just a reminder that there is NO school on Friday, February 15th.  We will see everyone on Monday.  Enjoy your three day weekend!

Parent/Teacher Conference Week

This week is parent/teacher conference week.  Conferences are held on the nights of Tuesday the 12th and Thursday the 14th from 5-8:30 p.m.  A note has come home in your child's folder with their conference date and time.  If that date and/or time doesn't work, please contact Mrs. Miller at the school office.  

Due to conferences, early outs have been scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday which means there will be NO afternoon preschool on those days.  Also there is NO school on Friday, February 15th.

Valentine Party Note

Information about our Valentine party will be coming home soon.  A class list will be attached to our party note.

Fire Station Field Trip

Our PM class took a field trip to the Fairfield Fire Station.  Fireman Ryan showed us his bunker gear, where he slept at the station, the fire trucks and many of the tools they use.  The students had a great time and learned many new things.
