Our Valentine's Day Party

We're Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

This week we have been preparing for Valentine's Day.  We have been discussing things that we love, how we show our parents and family members that we love them and how to be a great friend.  We have also been doing lots of fun valentine projects.  The students are getting very excited for our Valentine party on the 14th.  

 We worked on our cutting skills with two projects this week.  The first project was a collage about a few things that each child loves.  They picked items from magazine pages, cut them out and glued them onto their heart.  The second project allowed children to cut out a red or pink heart for their parents.

We also worked on hand - eye coordination with marble painting.  We marble painted a large white heart with red, pink and purple paint. The children then glued a solid colored heart in the middle.  Their picture will then be added in the middle.  This is a gift that the students are making for their parents.
